Hi Chris. Ok, I have uploaded the database reset plugin and activated it. Do i now have to do the Option Tree stuff, i.e. import the XML file etc. If so, please can you tell me the file names (I have explored all of the contents of the folder wpnovelist and I cannot find an xml file in there).

I only bought and downloaded the theme a few days ago from the Themeforest website so I assume I have the very latest version.

Okay, if you activated OptionTree before activating the theme, or had it activated while the newest version was installed you need to reset your DB(you can use a plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-reset/ )

the demo_content.xml file is for the CONTENT not the options, if you are using the latest version of the theme when you activate it all the options will be there, unless you did what I posted above

Hi chris, thanks for replying.

I have tried importing the XML file into Option Tree but it is not working. The only xml file that I have that came with the theme is called demo_options. Is this the right one? Also could you tell me the names of the themes option data and layout files please so i can check if they exist in my theme download folder? Many thanks, Sean.

The video is still relevant the UI of OptionTree has changed a little but you still set the them up in the same manner, what exact issues are you having?

I have purchased The Novelist on behalf of a Client and activated it as the theme for her wordpress website. Do you have a step by step guide for this novice wordpress user to getting the theme working? I followed your You Tube video on installing Option Tree but it seems that is no longer relevant. Help!!!
