The styling for the menu items is controlled via "#dropmenu li a". The background effect is achieved via "#dropmenu li a:hover"

So for #1...

#dropmenu li a {color:#000}

For #2...

#dropmenu li a:hover {background-color:#fff}

Actually to answer this question more broadly where can I edit most of the front-end colours from?

i.e is it in the style.css file?

Hi there,

How can I do the following:

1. edit the menu bar to permanent black text
2. edit the hover color from black to white
