Visit the reading settings page and make sure you have the default option for the front-page drop down.

you dont use a page template, the demo runs of the index.php(default) so if you have a static page itll be throwing it off

Ok, stupid question- I haven't been near my site using this them in a while now, and can't figure out how to get the homepage looking like the preview. I have the slider and calender turned on in appearance settings by the way, which template do i use?
