Thanks @jmmandc, from what I remember there was no issues but I would certainly backup your index.php before uploading the edited file.

Yea I mean the box/info on the left side of the page, I had to enter all of that content throguh the index.php rather than through a wordpress backend page which is a little inconvenient but as I wont need the page to change very often its a decent result.

Nick, your site looks great! I was just wondering if doing what you did caused any unexpected "issues" with the way the theme functions.

I'm not a coder, but I can "feel" my away around wordpress and eventually get the results I seek.

When you say you entered the page content through the index.php template, what exactly do you mean? Are you referring to the "Welcome to Freight Port Finder" box and info on the left side of the map?

Thanks!

@adviserindex

I litrally copied the archive.php file into the index.php this isnt a perfect solution though because I have had to enter the page content through the index.php template and its not being called from the wordpress backend.

Once I had copied the archive.php into the index.php I also had to increase the number of blog posts shown through the 'Blog pages show at most' option within the 'Reading' settings of Wordpress.

I dont have the actual code available to me right now but if you still dont understand then I can copy my index.php page in full and post here for you to view.

Let me know anyway im happy to help.

Hi Justin,

Thanks for your responce, I realise there is no options to add content to the homepage but I am fairly confident with the coding so was hoping you could advise how to edit the homepage template so that it is similar to the category pages which show both pins and content.

Let me know if you can help with this.
Cheers
Nick

Hey Nick,

The homepage will only display your pins, just like the demo. There isn't an option to add text there like you can on the detail pages of your posts.

Hope that answers your question - Apologies for the delayed response, I was out on vacation!

Hi there,

I was wondering if it would be possible to add content to the homepage (and include all the pins) like the category pages?
