Yes, you definitely need to update as you're using version: 1.1 (current version is 2.0.3 - May 2015). ThemeForest will always have the current version available on your downloads page. The download link will give you the updated theme files.

I realised I may just have to bite the bullet and upgrade the theme. I went into Theme Forest, logged in, and went to my downloads page but I didn't find the update there. How can I update to the latest version?

Recently this site was hacked http://assistingchildreninneed.org
It has been restored by the security provider (Sucuri) however, now the home slider is not working anymore. Site was created about 3 years ago and I want to avoid updating the theme since I edited code and I can't remember what I did, so I don't want to get rid of option tree and potentially screw things up.

Any thoughts of how to get the slider back up? All the posts for the home page slider are okay- correct category, featured images etc.
