Thanks for the response. I actually figured it out. It has to do with the categories. It is kind of tricky until you become familiar with the setup. I simply did not "get it" initially.

I have created a post and included it in a category. It displays perfectly in the appropriate category. However, it does not display on the homepage. I receive an error stating that I need to create a post to display on the homepage. However, I have created the post. What am I missing? I know it's me, but I do not know what it is.
