My pins were displaying on the Appearance > Customize screen, but not on the web site.
I changed the Default Marker Image URL and voila! it works.

I installed Wordpress with the one click install tool of my hosting company, and only specified the domain (i.e. whalewind.com)
The Default Marker Image URL included the host name www (i.e. http://www.whalewind.com in the URL). By removing the www from the URL, the pins appeared.

I believe these issues are DNS and cache issues with my hosting company and not related to the theme. I'm changing hosting companies and I'll let you know the results.

The theme should default to the local marker in the theme folder, but that might change if you import demo content since everything is relative to the demo site if you don't actually download attachments.

If you're using a caching plugin, you might be seeing a cached version of your site. Be sure to review your caching plugin settings to make sure logged in users see the live site at all times. Also, you might want to delete the cache after updating your theme options.

Looks like it has resolved itself - thanks.

One other issue I see is that the jQuery has a link to your map marker pins hard set/default set into it causing the 'Notice you are using a image from another domain' error.

It might be worth updating your theme files to point at "'siteurl' + '/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/aqua_pin1.png'" (from the demo content) instead of defaulting to http://themes.themolitor.com/wpnavigator/files/2013/10/aqua_pin.png for the google.maps.MarkerImage call.

Again I tried to set the default map marker to the local file (with your instructions above) but the Customise/Theme Options settings don't appear on the live site. I believe these settings should take effect immediately.

I have had to manually set the map marker in the posts for the time being.

Is this something you are aware of?

Hi there,

Try reapplying/resetting your theme settings on the Customize page.

To do this, simply copy/cut a setting so that the preview refreshes, then paste/reapply the setting and click save/publish.

Let me know if that has any impact on the front-end.

When viewing the Customise page everything looks as it should (can see widgets, the map etc) however when going to the live site I see nothing.

I have an issue with the home page where it is not displaying any of the posts from the demo content that was imported and none of the widget items appear on the home page or subsequent pages. The widget items work fine on location posts though.

The site in question is http://www.allcamps.ca/ As you can see there is no posts/map and no widgets displayed on the home page. Is there a fix for this?
