Hi there,

It's recommended that you use all files included in the update. Regarding customizations, you'll have to take note of them and reapply after updating.

For more info: http://www.themolitor.com/forums/topic/faq-how-do-i-update-my-theme

Thanks!

WRONG. Images were cached. That's why things appeared to look normal.

I could do with some guidance as to how to successfully update Nocturnal while keeping my current customization.

One thing it would be useful to know is - does the style.css of version 1.32 contain anything "special" that is required for the new version to run properly? Or can I simply replace it with my old style.css?

Apparently FTPing the new wpnocturnal folder into the wp-content/themes folder takes care of it, even though the style.css that has my customised code resides in the old wpnocturnal folder. No idea wy it's working correctly, but it seems like that has taken care of the problem.

Thanks - is there any straightforward way of updating the theme without losing all the customisation I have implemented?

Hi there,

Looks like you're using an older version of the theme. The current version (v1.3.2 – released 03.21.2013) is available on your downloads page on ThemeForest.

Please make sure you're using the latest version and let me know if you continue to have trouble with the backgrounds.

Thanks!

Chris

It appears that the background image displayed on the home page of my site : http://www.darkarps.com will show the custom background image associated with the *last* blog post displayed by the slider.

ie, in its current configuration, http://www.darkarps.com displays the custom B&W image associated with the 3rd blog post displayed on the home page, instead of displaying the coloured background image set as the custom background image for the first blog post displayed on the home page.

What do I need to do to force the home page's background?
