Hi there,

Sorry, but that goes a bit beyond the level of support I'm able to provide here in the forums. If it was something I knew off the top of my head I would gladly help, but if it requires a bit of research, testing and custom code then I have to refer you to the customization request form: http://themolitor.com/custom

Hope you understand.

Thanks!

Chris

Hi, Chris,

I need a button in my menu bar only for one function - to return me immediately to the top of my website (welcome page). So is it possible to creat that button without any errors?

Thank you a lot.

Oh, gotcha!

Yes, that's because the theme is trying to load the content of the first tab so that it's visible when users scroll down. With your external link first, there won't be any content for the theme to load, so that's why you get an error message.

Hope that helps.

Best,

Chris

Screenshot of menus structure: http://www.bevelweb.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/menus.jpg

I'm obviously doing something wrong. If I do it this way, with the HOME button at the right end of the menu, it opens the main page, but in a new browser tab. If I put it at the left end of the menu - i.e., the first thing that loads after Welcome, I get this:

http://www.bevelweb.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/screeshot2.jpg

Hi there,

I can confirm custom links work just fine. You can see this on the demo site (see "Purchase"): http://themes.themolitor.com/misc

Can you take a screenshot of your menus page? I'll check it out.

Best,

I've tried the custom link two different ways:
http://www.bevelweb.com/#

and just #

and they both produce the same result.

I'm going to have to take that menu item out pretty soon, though, since the site is live.

In your AID theme, you have the option of adding a custom redirect link to pages and posts, for use in the sliders. If that was added to MISC, could it help?

That's odd. Can you provide a link to your site with the custom link in the menu? I'll check it out.

Hi Chris,

Nope, I'm using MISC - awesome theme, BTW. I added it to the top of the menu stack, so I think my site is trying to load the custom menu immediately after the welcome page.

Client would like for me to add a HOME page button to menu. I know that you just scroll up from a page, but they'd like it there none the less. I tried to add the"welcome" page to the menu, but that didn't work well. Any hints?
