Hi there,

It's recommended that you use an FTP client to make edits. If you don't have access to one, or don't know anything about that, you can access the footer.php file by navigating to "appearance" > "editor" and selecting the footer option on the right.

Since it doesn't sound like you've made any other edits to that file, you don't need to worry about backing it up as you already have a copy in the file you downloaded from ThemeForest.

How do I remove the footer nav? I asked this once before and Chris K said the following:

"The menu has a fallback it will always show something unless removed in the code, open the footer.php and remove line 39 (also remove line 37 for removing the logo)

'<?php wp_nav_menu(array('theme_location' => 'footer', 'container_id' => 'footerNav', 'menu_id' => 'footmenu')); ?>'

please remember to back your files up"

This sounds good, but two things... where in the heck do I find the footer.php from the dashboard?

Also what is the process for backing it up?
