Hi there,

I visited your site and see the home page is using the large header display. Resolved?

Regarding the header images, the theme uses the built-in header image feature of WordPress, but to achieve the slideshow feature, the theme takes over control and adds additional functionality. This might impact the use of 3rd party plugins.

Unfortunately I'm unable to provide support for plugins not working. If this were a bug I would totally address this issue, but as it turns out, the current header image implementation is intended core functionality of the theme.

One thing to do is turn on "randomize header images". This will load a random image for each page load, giving the user the implication that they are on a different page.

Hope you understand.

Best,

Chris

Here is the text from the Taxonomy's Page:
"Your plugin doesn't work
Actually, it does work ;) The problem is likely with your theme. Some themes have "custom headers", but don't use the built-in WordPress custom header system and will not work with the Unique Headers plugin because of this. It is not possible to predict how other custom header systems work, and so those can not be supported by this plugin. To test if this is the problem, simply switch to one of the default themes which come with WordPress and see if the plugin works with those, if it does, then your theme is at fault."

Thank you, that worked for all the pages beyond the homepage. I still want that page to be a large header. I set the Header Display Style for the home page to "Large" but it is still standard.

Also, this morning I installed the plugins Unique Header and Taxonomy Metadata. This added the ability to assign a header image per Category. Unfortunately it is not working with this theme. The notes state that if the themes header functionality was created outside of WP's functionality that the plugins will not work.
Can you suggest any plugins that may provide this ability. The problem is that the Category pages are using the same slide show as the homepage, so when you go to a different page, there really isn't anyway of knowing that you are on a different page other than reading the Title over the excerpt.

Thanks!

Hi there,

Have you tried using the "standard header" setting on the Customize page? This way you can control individual pages using the "large header" setting on the post/page edit screen.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Chris

Hello, I read your response to the question about defining a different image per category and that this is currently not a function of WP. I would however like to reduce the size of the header to be the smaller of the two options. We only want our homepage to have the large header image.
Our site is http://huntonbradybeta.com/. If you look at any of the items beneath "Our Work" you can see that the headers on those pages are too large.

Thank you so much.
