With BuddyPress installed, I needed #wp-admin-bar

But without BuddyPress, #wpadminbar works perfectly.

#wp-admin-bar {z-index:4000 !important;}

#wpadminbar {z-index:4000 !important;}

That should do the trick.

I'm using WP University and the header logo image and even the top bar text (date & time) interfere with the WordPress admin bar. When I mouse over the WordPress admin bar and one of the tabs drops down, the admin bar tab is layered behind the WP University logo and text. I can't figure out how to correct this, and it makes it impossible to use the WordPress admin bar effectively. I thought maybe it was a z-index issue but my trial and error with that didn't help. Thanks!
