Hi there,

The background images are achieved using a site-wide method. When you navigate away from the home page, the background/slideshow feature is still running. This is because the background images are not meant/developed to coincide with any of the content on the page. They are intended to function solely as design elements.

Hope that helps explain the setup.

Best,

Christopher

Hi,
Can I ask a follow up question about the header image and review post order?

The site is live here: http:www.honlodgeproductions.com

When the site initially loads the posts match the images as i've set it to orderby ID & order ASC with the correct posts. However if I navigate to a film page then back it loses its order. Is there something in the Javascript which isn't refreshing as such?

Many thanks in advance

Kind regards

Alex

Awesome.

Thanks for sharing your findings! It's difficult keeping track of the icons that are available in the different versions of font awesome. Glad you picked up on that :-)

If you're enjoying the theme, PLEASE don't forget to rate it on your downloads page on ThemeForest. Five-star ratings REALLY help me out and encourage further development and updates.

Thanks!

Hi there,

1. The reviews are currently setup to display randomly. You can adjust this by opening page-reviews.php and locating the following on line 63...

'orderby' => 'rand',

...you can change the 'rand' value to one of the following...

'none' - No order (available since Version 2.8).

'ID' - Order by post id. Note the capitalization.

'author' - Order by author.

'title' - Order by title.

'name' - Order by post name (post slug).

'type' - Order by post type (available since Version 4.0).

'date' - Order by date.

'modified' - Order by last modified date.

'parent' - Order by post/page parent id.

'rand' - Random order.

'comment_count' - Order by number of comments (available since Version 2.9).

'relevance' - Order by search terms in the following order: First, whether the entire sentence is matched. Second, if all the search times are within the titles. Third, if any of the search terms appear in the titles. And, fourth, if the full sentence appears in the contents.

'menu_order' - Order by Page Order. Used most often for Pages (<i>Order</i> field in the Edit Page Attributes box) and for Attachments (the integer fields in the Insert / Upload Media Gallery dialog), but could be used for any post type with distinct 'menu_order' values (they all default to <var>0</var>).

'meta_value' - Note that a 'meta_key=keyname' must also be present in the query. Note also that the sorting will be alphabetical which is fine for strings (i.e. words), but can be unexpected for numbers (e.g. 1, 3, 34, 4, 56, 6, etc, rather than 1, 3, 4, 6, 34, 56 as you might naturally expect). Use 'meta_value_num' instead for numeric values. You may also specify 'meta_type' if you want to cast the meta value as a specific type. Possible values are 'NUMERIC', 'BINARY', 'CHAR', 'DATE', 'DATETIME', 'DECIMAL', 'SIGNED', 'TIME', 'UNSIGNED', same as in '$meta_query'. When using 'meta_type' you can also use meta_value_* accordingly. For example, when using DATETIME as 'meta_type' you can use 'meta_value_datetime' to define order structure.

'meta_value_num' - Order by numeric meta value (available since Version 2.8). Also note that a 'meta_key=keyname' must also be present in the query. This value allows for numerical sorting as noted above in 'meta_value'.

'post__in' - Preserve post ID order given in the post__in array (available since Version 3.5).

'post_name__in' - Preserve post slug order given in the post_name__in array (available since Version 4.6).

2. The social icons are located in footer.php on lines 55-57. You can try adding the following after the flickr section to add an IMDB link...

<a target="_blank" id="link-imdb" data-title="IMDB" href="YOUR-LINK-URL-HERE"><i class="fa fa-imdb"></i></a>

You'll want to also style the hover state by adding the following to your Custom CSS box on the Customize page...

#socialIcons #link-imdb:after {background-color: #XXXXXX;}

Change 'XXXXXX' to the color hex value you want to use for that link.

3. Here is the current width styling for the page content...

#pageContent.with-scrollbar {
    margin-left: -240px;
    padding-right: 30px;
    width: 470px;
}
#pageContent {
    margin-left: -275px;
    max-width: 550px;
    width: 550px;
}

You can copy/paste that into the Custom CSS box and make edits there. There may be other elements affected by a width change (i.e. left/right arrows, etc.), so be sure to test and review edits like that as that will require some attention.

Hope that helps!

Please keep in mind my support services do not include customizations like this, so if you have trouble with these edits or have additional items you want to change, I'll have to ask that you submit a request for custom services here: http://themolitor.com/custom

Best,

Christopher

Hi

I'm using your Vysual theme to develop a site for a film production company. They have 3 pieces of work they want to highlight so i've currently got it that each film has a quote post and header image associated with it. I've uploaded the header image so they should appear in the correct order but the recent posts seem to be randomised. Is there a way to control that aspect. I've tried setting the published date in order to match them.

Additionally is there an option for an IMdb social link. Digging through the code I couldn't find one where its pulling the icons from.

And finally I was looking at the option of increasing the width on a single post page. Is it just referenced from respond.css or am I missing another place?

I really like your theme and I think you done a great job with it, maintaining its simplicity. Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards

Alex
