I really have no idea how or where you were hacked. Code can be injected numerous ways from numerous locations.

Please understand. This is not a theme-related issue. This is a security issue related to either your WordPress installation or hosting provider.

I don't understand. This doesn't get me any closer to knowing where code was inserted or where to begin looking. So I just take the site offline or start over with a new theme?

Unfortunately that is not a theme-related issue that I can provide support for. If your site has been hacked, that has to do with either your WordPress security or hosting security.

Sorry I can't be more help with this. If you're not sure what to do, I recommend calling your hosting provider for assistance and advice as these are not matters that I can provide support for.
