You'll need to log into your FTP and upload the file to the root directory (where you posted the Wordpress files while installing Wordpress).

Google webmaster tool is asking me to upload a file (ex: google123456.html) Google wants this to be uploaded (and then verified) to http://www.mysite.com/google123456.html The problem is when I upload the file, it goes to http://www.mysite.com/wp-content/2012/04/google123456.html

How do I upload what google wants to where google wants it?
