Unfortunately I'm not immediately aware of a solution for that, so you'll need to submit a customization request as it would require quite a bit of research and testing to achieve.

is it possible to get this functionality with The Navigator?

The Navigator uses an advanced custom script that I wrote which interacts with gMap in order for The Navigator to work/display the way it does. If you're trying to add features to the theme that require a different version of gMap, please use this form to submit a request: http://themolitor.com/custom -- as the custom script will have to be heavily edited/revised/adjusted in order to use/add different code.

I try to use gMap3 version 5.0b but “The Navigator” won’t show google maps at all!
