Thanks for the input. I fixed it another way. I created a new post template that doesn't use the masonry (I only wanted a masonry view for the home and category pages). #stilllearning

Here's a follow up... can I have my thumbs be 300 wide and the pictures in my post be bigger (say 610 pix wide)?
If I do this:

body.single .post {float: left;}

#postImgs {margin-left: 310px;}
#postImgs .postImg {margin: 0 10px 10px 0; width: 610px; float: left;}
#postImgs .postImg img {width: 610px;}

I get Images that are quite stretched.

I think I solved it myself...the answer lies in the functions.php file:

//FEATURED IMAGE SUPPORT
add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails', array( 'post' ) );
set_post_thumbnail_size( 300, 200, true );
add_image_size( 'grid',300 ,9999 );

(I made them 300 wide - so the site looks nice (3-colums) on Ipad / Iphone too)

FYI I have put max with of the medium size thumb at 320 (settinggs > media settings)
However if I force regenerate (using that plug-in) the thumbnails it seems to generate a 280 px version nonetheless.

(here's some output from running that plug-in):

"leg" (ID 129): All thumbnails was successfully regenerated in 0.370 seconds.
- Thumbnail: 280x420 was deleted.
- Thumbnail: 320x480 was deleted.
- Thumbnail: 150x150 was deleted.
- Thumbnail: 280x170 was deleted.

So somehow, somewhere the theme is trying to use the 280 thumbs next to the 320 thumbs.... ?

I would like to get slightly bigger thumbs (wider columsn)

It seems I got it working in the Posts:

But not in the categorie / home preview....

I do get more white between the pictures (so the columns seem to be positioned just right) but the thumbs do not scale to proper dimensions...

Any ideas?
