Hi there,

1. You need to upload images from the edit screen for the page you want them to appear on.

2. To arrange the order of images, you need to click the "add media" button and in the pop-up, click "uploaded to this post" in the select box. This is the only method to control the order of images.

3. The gallery system automatically grabs images attached/uploaded to the page (not inserted into the page content area). You need to delete images from the library to remove them from the gallery.

No I'm not. Although at this point I've pretty much tried everything. Moving around on the page, in a new gallery, also at the add media.

What happens for me is this... If insert media to my gallery page, that is add it directly from the media I've uploaded, it adds the photo but photo doesn't appear in the gallery. So the photo appears in the page, but doesn't upload.

The only way a photo makes it to the online gallery is if I start on the gallery page, press add media, and then upload something new and then insert it into the page.

This works in the sense that I have pics in the gallery, but I can move them around in the word press page. In fact I can't delete them from the page either, if I delete a photo from that page it doesn't go away. So the only way I can delete a photo from the gallery at present is to delete it from the media all together.

Hopefully this explains my problem more clearly.

Just to clarify, are you trying to arrange the images in the pop-up window that appears after clicking "add media"?

Hi Chris,

I've been having the same problem. I've followed your exact instructions as above, I upload the photos and then update them and the photos go in the gallery no problem. But I'm unable to reorder the photos at all, they won't drag and drop and if I cut and paste a new order on the page it doesn't change anything. Please could you offer some advice?

Hi there,

I can confirm this is the proper method if you follow the instructions. Be sure to (1) visit the edit page for the page that has the gallery page template assigned, (2) click "add media", (3) in the drop down select "uploaded to this post" and then (4) click/drag the images in the order you want them to appear.

If you continue to have trouble, I'll need you to provide a live link to your site so that I can investigate possible issues.
