Hi there,

When you click on an image in your media gallery, you should be able to add some additional information for that image (i.e. title, description, caption, alt, etc.). Just be sure to post any additional text you want there.

One other question though: when the images are displayed via Gallery the caption information, whereas when you just click one image in the post it does not contain it? Is there anyway to have that?

Hey Chris,
Finally figured out what happened: I had messed up some settings in my caching plugin W3 Total Cache - I reset the settings to the default and the gallery works again. Now I just have to figure out which setting it was :)

Hey Chris,
I've tried removing the plugins (seo, xml sitemap, jetpack, insert header and footer, akismet, w3 total cache, but that darn thing is still there after the images!!!! i know i played around with the jetpack options but think i have put everything back to default.
for the time being how can i remove the gallery from the post? i know i've seen it in the forums somewhere but can't seem to find it now?

The issue wouldn't be with the light box or the theme. Something is adding those extra characters to your image links. A plugin maybe?

You can try reinstalling the theme, but I don't think it would help much (unless you made changes to the template files, maybe?).

yes I had seen that, but was not sure where ut could come from.I know that at one one point i tried to put in your zoombox plugin but stopped.
I am currently in very slow internet land(and don't have my notes with me) :) could you point me to the template file that would control that? if not I'll just have to reinstall the template when i get back to real internet!

The links to the images appear to have some extra stuff added to the end...

Notice the trailing "?814bcc" right after the ".jpg". The problem is that lightbox scripts look for links that end with an image file type (i.e. .jpg, .gif or .png). If your image links don't end with the proper file type, then the lightbox script won't know to look for them.

I can't say why that "?814bcc" is being added to your links. It's not something done by the theme, so it might have to do with a plugin you're using? Maybe an edit you made to the template files? I can't say for sure.

I may have messed up but it seems that when i go to the gallery of a post it only shows one pix alone and not the lightbox?

and click on gallery only one image loads with no background (it's similar to the zombie beta plugin) whereas if you click on the image in the details of the post it goes to the lightbox
any idea?
