Hi there,

That sounds like a browser issue to me. Try updating your browser(s) to see if that has any result.

Best,

Thanks Chris, I had already been using 'Uploaded to this post', but I discovered something by chance. It works fine on my Mac, but no image can be moved on the PC. Who knows why this is? So I have cranked up the Mac and have been able to rearrange from there. Yes, I just proceeded with deleting and then uploading images again. Thank you very much for all your help.

Hi there,

When you're viewing the media gallery pop-up window, you need to select the "uploaded to this post" option. Once you do that, you should be able to click/drag the thumbnails in the order you want.

This is a core WordPress feature (i.e. not a theme feature), so if you have trouble with this you'll need to consult the WordPress support site as that's not something that I have the resources to troubleshoot: http://wordpress.org/support

Regarding images uploaded to a post, they will have to be deleted in order for them to be removed as the theme uses images "attached" to the post. The only way to "detach" an image is by deleting it. In the future, you can upload images from the media page upload section without attaching them to a specific post/page.

Hope that helps some.

Best,

Chris

Hi Chris, I've been able to upload the images, but I can't seem to rearrange. I can't find the option to do that though I have followed the steps numerous times. The mouse won't grab the images.

Secondly, how do I 'remove' images from the gallery without actually deleting permanently, from the whole media library? I have a feeling I managed to upload to gallery a different way other than your instructions - if that is even possible! But it might explain why I can't grab, rearrange and remove?

Hi Chris, This is probably a big request - but is there any way, or is there already, a simple youtube video that shows how to actually work the gallery? Not just show it once its done. It's a fabulous option that comes up when a video link is inserted and very relevant to my work. I believe I'm following the instructions, but each time the pictures just end up in the main text. I have been told by someone else the pictures can only be loaded into the gallery one at a time. I also don't know how to rearrange them? I can't seem to work the drag option. They just stay put.

Sometimes the explanations in this forum are aimed more at the 'tech savvy' - which sadly, isn't me.
If there was a simple video where we could see someone do it, that would be enormously helpful.
