Regarding the custom background URL field, you need to "Enter the URL of the image to use..." In other words, you need to copy/paste the URL of the image you want to use into that custom background URL field.

This is done to support third-party image hosting solutions (e.g. imgur.com, etc.) that do not link up to their media library directly.

For the home page, be sure to set your home page setting to "latest posts". This will display the home page like the demo site.

The content at the top of the page is controlled from the Customize page and the post slider below will load posts from the "static front page" section using the "latest Posts Category" option to pull posts from a specific category. You can also control how many posts display from that panel area as well.

Regarding the contact page stuff, that lower box is WordPress comments. You can turn that off by following these instructions: http://themolitor.com/help/producer/#comments

Regarding that video, it must be coming from a plugin that you're using (page builder maybe?). That space is 100% controlled by WordPress (not the theme), so that definitely is not a theme-related thing. I noticed your normal page edit screen is replaced with the page builder features, so that might be part of the issue. I can't say for sure since I have no developer knowledge of that plugin.

Chris. Your solution regarding my problem adding bg images to the first scroll section of each menu item does not work for me. You had put in a form wide post to go into settings and check recent posts (thus unchecking static page). Yeah, I know, it's me. I'm an idiot. But I have no problem telling you that I am not a genius at this stuff. Wordpress plus individual themes bought on themeforest and other companies assure me it's so easy to build. For me, it's not. At all. There are so many hidden secrets and cryptic replies from developers. Plus many wordpress live support dudes don't know a lot of this that only you seem to know. Crazy headaches because I waste a lot of my time and just get frustrated. What adds to this frustration is that the 'visit site' page shows one thing, the front end editor another, the customize page yet another. It's INSANE. You guys should just say in the beginning it isn't that easy. More like building a desk from IKEA. That's also insane.

I want to give you my website as that is a great idea....but it isn't published and in my ignorance I have no clue how you get to the guts of my site unless you have some developer access. And if I give you a specific link won't everyone on this forum have access? See what I mean? Nothing is explained. I'd honestly would have an easier time if there was a variable in a piece of code I had to change. So please. Can you help me? You also have my other e-mail address if easier.

Regarding your questions...

All theme-specific settings are available on the Customize page (dashboard > appearance > customize).

Regarding the "first section", assuming you're referring to the title area, that is controlled by the post/page title input. There are no additional content options for that section as the main content is below the title area.

Repositioning text would require either adjustments in the WordPress content area (if applicable) or via CSS customizations.

Regarding widgets, text widgets allow you to enter any content you like in that space.

Hey it’s Brucieboy once again. I also have a few more questions
- font style and color not responding to my requests
- I want to put my logo on the front section of each page (the same first section where I cannot put bg image per my original post to you)
There does not seem to be any rows or elements that I can insert on this first section. This is the same for all menu items. The first section of these pages seem to be non existent other than the ability to simply put name of the page
- repositioning/layout of text in certain areas
- is there a widget I can use that simply shows email icon?
