Please keep in mind, the theme only controls the layout of content. It doesn't control the content itself and not all aspects of WordPress are controlled by the theme, so simply activating it will not create a default setup like the demo site. To create the demo site, I had to manually arrange some elements (i.e. widgets, etc.).

1. The sidebar elements are all controlled by widgets. There are instructions in the documentation for implementing those: http://themolitor.com/help/wpaid/#sidebar

Some are plugins like the Facebook box (http://tinyurl.com/oot9hgt) and the Twitter feed (http://xavisys.com/wordpress-plugins/wordpress-twitter-widget/).

2. Be sure that your properly targeting the elements with CSS. Here's an example...

#dropmenu li ul li a {font-size: 12px;}

3. Using the built-in WordPress gallery system generates the grid of images on the single post page. Simply upload images to the post/page and use the "insert gallery" option. Be sure to use "image file" for images to open in the lightbox.

I just purchased the WP Aid theme for our charity, and started fiddling around in order to recreate the default layout as on the promotional screenshot.

Have been unable to.

The homepage on the screenshot features a lot of disebar elements (Donate Now, Get Social, Become a Facebook Fan, Contact Us, etc.). I cannot find those in the theme customisations. Don't tell me I should look for and install them myself...

Custom CSS has little impact on the theme. I am trying to customise the dropdown menu font, but only the typeface ('font-family') reacts to the CSS; customising font size, weight or other attributes fails.

I don't see how to add a gallery to a page.

I am happy to give access to my installation if you are willing to take time and sort it out. I simply need that the page looks as on screenshot by default; I will take further custimisations from there myself.

Thanks for an otherwise promising theme (if only I manage to get it working).

BTW, for those struggling with "CSS error" when installing: you should only download the "Installable Wordpress file only" from the Envato download area, that will install without problems. Your problems are caused by using the "All Files & Documentation" archive from Envato.
