I'm also interested in doing this. I've removed both the title and date from the slider. I'd like to be able to just click on the photo to go to another page.

Coolio, thanks for your help. I'll figure it out, wasn't sure if there was a "quick" way to do it - as it seems a handful of others on here are using the site in a different way (not as primarily an event/calendar theme).

Thanks again!

Well, I'm just another theme customer - but one way you could do it is to use a 301 redirect in your htaccess file. It's a little of a pain in the ass to setup, but if your slider images are permanent, then it would be a good solution.

You could also download a redirect plugin to do what the htaccess file would do. I know there are some out there, but not sure which to recommend.

Thank you. That's how I set up the ghost post (I just removed the date). However, what's the best way to force the link of each post in that slider, to a specific page (or URL). Say one goes to http://www.yahoo.com and one goes to the "contact" page - how I can specific for each post?

Thanks for the prompt response!!

You can create a post to function the same way as a page if you want. Just create a "Slider" category and every ghost page you want just put it in that category.

To remove the date find this line in slider.php

<div class="sliderDate"><?php echo get_the_time('m.d.Y'); ?></div>

You can delete it.

Hey, great theme!! I am utilizing the main page slider not as a calendar event, but as a link to pages I am creating. Many themes have an option to "use pages" instead of posts on the featured slider. I don't see that, but what is there an easy to use the featured slider post as just a "ghost" post, that when clicked, directs to a specific page? In that essence, I won't need a date on the featured sliders since they are pages. Any help? Thanks so much!!
