Hi there,

I'm glad you're enjoying the theme!

1. The structure of the theme has the map markup placed before the welcome markup. This is preferred because on individual post pages, you wouldn't see the map until the very bottom of the page.

2. That's a good question. I'm not sure that's possible as the map requires a hover state in order to fire those elements up.

Best,

Chris

Hi,

ok, that's great. I tested it on a few Android devices and everything seems to work so far.

Two questions:

http://i.imgur.com/NrBaAM2.png

- Is it possible to move the welcome paragraph above the map so that the map and the navigation elements for the map are closer together? That would eliminate the need to scroll up and down while cycling through locations.

- It it possible to display the info bubble for the map markers after cycling through the elements using the location nav bar?

First world problems:

- swiping@location nav bar doesn't work
- font sizes at the location nav element seem to be pretty small for mobile view ports

Great theme. I'm glad you made it responsive!

Hi there,

The theme is now responsive, so it should work on mobile devices. Please feel free to test it out and let me know if you have issues.

I personally thoroughly tested it on the iPhone 5 and iPad.

Best,

Hi,

thanks for the quick response!

Does that mean you(r team) did test it on up-to-date - let's say ~1-2 year old mainstream (android, ios) - mobile devices / would you try to fix reproducable glitches that show up on that devices?

The reason why my first attempt to use this theme failed and I ended up pretty annoyed in the end was because I quite naively assumed it got tested on mainstream mobile devices. I still can't really tell by looking at the release note.

If you support mobile, I'd be happy to test the site on several devices and report any glitches that might occur.

Best regards

Hi,

thanks for the response. I realize that there's not much money involved in a single purchase and there's not much room for you to fulfill custom needs.

But... when I buy a theme I expect it to be a solid base for further development strains which is tested among all popular platforms. In my case I just dropped the plan to use the theme as primary site but a lot of time was wasted due to cross-browser testing, communication ( see: http://tinyurl.com/c8ngksr - you never took the effort to actually use the testing scenario I've built ).

I had a pretty bad customer experience due to delayed development on my side, being unsure if I can use that thing or not, delayed response (weeks!) and due to my perception of common sense that a tourist focussed theme should work on major mobile platforms.

As far as I see it people who buy themes typically have a limited budget and are willing to report errors/problems but they expect the creator of the theme to take care of mainstream problems. This wasn't the case here.

Best regards

Same problem on my page using Brick + Mason theme :( It just floats up when you scroll down. More people I know have Android devices than iphones and though I use an imac, I have a Google Nexus One phone. I'll need my website to be viewable across the most commonly used platforms and I really don't want to have to look for another theme again. If anyone could please look into it I would appreciate it immensely. Ryan

Hi there,

The image you posted shows a bug with how the Android browser handles fixed elements. As posted on the item page, the Android browser is not a supported browser, so unfortunately we are not able to address this bug.

The main reasons being we don't have access to android and that it doesn't support standard CSS classifications.

Thanks!

The same problem with my HTC Incredible S/Android 2.3.5/HTC Sense 3.0.
http://welcome.kharkov.ua/img/footer.jpg
Please inform me if you solved this problem.

Also I have been compelled to make footer in 2 lines (height 80 px), as the footer displayed incorrectly if the screen of phone is located vertically.

As far as I understand fixes for mobile devices (iPhone/iPad) were released during the version updates for this theme. It seems support for mobile devices is on the list.

Since this is an app most probably used by tourists support for Android phones/pads seems like a very logical thing to take care of.

If not I'd expect a "does not support Android devices" information on the theme page on Theme Forest. Android is already a mainstream platform and it brings - like it or not - a browser with it.

Could other users please report if the problem is the same on their Android phones/pads?

Hey Mleihs,

This could be any number of issues with the phone OS. Not to mention, this theme is not compatible on Mobile devices, so it's tough to say. Sorry I couldn't offer more help for your issue, but since it's not optimized for mobile, it's tough to say what the issue is.

Good luck,
