Hello, I have set categories and have a category for my homepage slider and "Sponsor" for the footer carousel, but the images from my homepage slider also appears in the footer carousel. how can i remove?

Open up footer.php and change the following on line 20 from this...

...to this...

<a target="_blank" href="<?php  if ($data[ 'custom_link' ]) { echo $data[ 'custom_link' ];} else { the_permalink(); } ?>">

Do you know if there is a way to have the viewer stay on our site when the viewer clicks on the sponsor? I didn't see an option to redirect to a new page. Not a huge deal though

Hi there,

Be sure to categorize all your posts (i.e. "News", "Slider", "Sponsors",etc.) and select the category you want to use (via the Static Front Page section on the Customize page) for the "Breaking News" section on the home page.

Chis i have done this already and my corporate sponsor is on the carousel, when you click on the logo it sends you to the sponsors website which is good as well (would be nice if it opened another page instead of kicking the viewer out of our site) But what i am wanting to know is if there is a way for that post not to show up in the post section. As my hope is for the post section on the home page
to be only used for our overseas water projects.

Wanting to use the footer carousel to show sponsors logo which then will hyperlink to their websites but don't want any of their info showing up in the 'Post" section. I would prefer to leave the "Post" section for our water project related info. Is there a way to do this?
