Original problem: slider not working; only loading first slide
Actual problem: php error in footer.php

There is an error (several) in the footer.php file. The closing if statements in the social div section are <? } ?> and should be <?php } ?>.

Once I replaced every occurrence, the footer loaded. The javascript for the slider is in the footer. The footer was not loading, therefore, the slider was not working.

I am running WordPress 3.3, Politico 1.1 on an IIS server.

Thanks for posting this! I just had the same issue and that fixed it.

Well I figured out what's causing it...

If I remove the entire Social Networks div from footer.php, it works just fine. Something about the get_option_tree functions inside of that div are breaking the entire footer code (that includes the get_sidebar).

With further searching I have determined that the pages are ending at the "</div><!--end listing-->", so it appears the footer and sidebar are not being called at all. Script is untouched and no additional plugins are in use. I have done nothing that I can think of that would cause this. Any help?

Just recently installed this (nice theme btw!). Right sidebar widgets and footer are completely non-existent. Page ends at the bottom of the last post. Ideas?
