That is how I had it set up initially. But when I change the settings in the default worpress settings (reading) even though the settings under theme options is set to show 1 post. The slider still doesn't work on the home page. Only if I change both setting in reading and in theme options to show 1 post does it then work.

there should be 2 settings for the reading, the default WordPress one(under the reading settings) controls the blog page, and the one under the theme options that controls the home slider

I was having the same slider issue that allot of people were posting about and following the instructions on the thread I went to Settings-Reading-And set the number of posts to show back to 1. The problem is My home page is set to show all categories under "blog" so I have a handful of sub categories like "events" "tracks" and so forth. The actual "blog" page i wanted to have the same content as the home page but be the traditional top to down blog format. So it seems that I cant have both the way the theme is designed. Is there a way to make it work?
