delete the images from the post or completely delete them from the wordpress media library?

The featured image size is 618x293.

I've heard users have trouble with images that are VERY large. Try making your images as close to the above dimensions as possible and reupload them to your post (remember to delete any images you intend to replace as the system uses the first image you upload).

Also, what are the optimal sizes for the featured section? As you can see, the test2 post's image is stretched and grainy in the big part, while the thumbnail is squished.

The images and thumbnails are only being generated for some of my posts in the featured section on the home page.

The video post does not have a generated image despite having an image in the post, while the test2 post generated an image just fine. Any suggestions?
