You bet! :-)

If you're enjoying the theme, PLEASE don't forget to rate it on your downloads page on ThemeForest. Positive ratings REALLY help me out.

Thanks!

Hi Chris,
I realized what had been happening! You are right -- the featured image for the most recent post was not the proper 618 X 293. When I fixed this, it worked perfectly.

Featured image in all posts mimic the dimensions for most recent featured image post.

THANK-YOU!!!

Hi there,

Taking another look at the images, they don't appear to be large enough anyways.

Example: http://www.dhs.ednet.ns.ca/WP/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/DHS-kids.jpg

That image is 478px × 260px. It's also not properly oriented.

Try uploading an image larger than the slider area and let me know if that has any impact.

Best,

Chris

Hello Chris,
Thank you for your prompt reply. I deactivated all of the plugins, but that did not seem to make any difference. I also regenerated all the thumbnails, but that did not visibly change anything. Do you have any more suggestions? I sure hope you do!

Thanks,
Marissa

Hi there,

That's strange. Haven't seen that happen before. Something is reducing the size of the images. Maybe try deactivating plugins to see if they are causing the issue?

Also, you can try regenerating thumbnails using this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

Let me know if that has any impact.

Best,

Hello,
I have been using the university theme for a while now, and it has been working great. In the past few days, however, I've noticed the featured images for posts that are displayed on the homepage are squished. It was working before, with the same images. No matter what dimensions the pictures are, they are being automatically resized so there is white space on the right of the display box.

I checked the functions.php and the line "add_image_size( 'main', 618, 293, true )" seems to be correct. What is causing this issue, and how do I fix it?

Thank-you in advance,
Marissa

P.S. Here is the website: http://www.dhs.ednet.ns.ca/
