The post slider images only appear if they are attached to the post. Images get attached to the post when they are uploaded from the post edit screen (as opposed to the main media upload page).

Did you upload the image from the post edit screen for that post? If not, let me know if doing that helps.

Hi, I notice that my regular posts in my blog area show the featured image, whereas images used in the curator timeline when clicked on for details, no image appears with the post, only the text content. But the thumbnail does show once in the single post page for the timeline post. staging.parowpictures.com for example is the timeline, and if you go to the last picture in the timeline (oldest picture by date) and read more, you will see no image with the post. Can you help me so that an image can go on that post page.

I understand it's annoying if you already attached images to a post. Going forward, only upload images to a post that you don't mind also appearing in the gallery/slideshow. To remove images you don't want to appear in the gallery, you'll need to delete them and upload them from the add new media page (not the post edit page).

Since this theme was developed for artists to showcase their work, I made a development decision to have the slideshow be an automatic feature that didn't require any configuration.

This works as you described it. However I am having difficulties trying to replace a featured image. This causes the unexpected results as described in my original post above. The only solution appears to be to create the post again form scratch, which is far from ideal.

Is there a way of editing the gallery content to get complete control over this annoying issue?

To have images appear in the content of your post, but not in the slideshow, simply upload the images from the media page (not the post edit page). This way the images don't get attached to the post. You can then use the "add media" button and locate the image in your media library.

Shorter version - how do you add images to main body of a post, without them appearing in slider?

Having similar issues here.

I can't seem to control how the featured image should appear at all. How can you "clean" a blog post so that no images are associated with it?

I'm also having an issue whereby an image that has been added to the post (not featured) appears in the post's main image instead of the featured image. If you just have one featured image - it appears as expected, if you add any other images to the post, you don't get the expected result.

I think you have the featured image confused with the post/page slider images. The featured image only appears in the timeline or on blog listings. What you're referring to is the slider/gallery feature on the individual page.

The slider/gallery feature on individual pages is automatically created based on the images you have uploaded to that specific post/page. To prevent the image gallery from being created, simply upload your images from the media page, not the post/page edit screen. Uploading the images form the post/page edit screen will "attach" that image to the post/page and automatically be included in the slider/gallery section.

Uploading images from the media page will allow you to select those images as featured images without the slider/gallery feature being created on individual pages.

Hi,

I've uploaded a Featured Image to certain Posts but they fail to display. In addition, there's one Post that has 2 featured images that won't go away even though I've set the Featured Image for that particular Post to none.
