I'm not certain since I didn't develop the plugin, but there appears to be an issue with how the plugin is creating pages and assigning them to a category.

Try removing line 48, which looks like this...

echo get_category_parents($cat, TRUE, ' ' . $delimiter . ' ');

...and see if that helps.

I have installed a plug-in for Calendar items (All-in-One Event Calendar Plugin).

I created an event and went to publish it. The event calendar shows the event but when I click on the event and I get this error message.

"Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home/content/l/a/n/lancasterco/html/wp-content/themes/wppolitico/functions.php on line 48"

I believe this is line 48:       $cat = get_the_category(); $cat = $cat[0];

Are there any changes I need to make here

Here is the link to the event. It is the first one I have created.
http://lancastercountyscgop.com/events/

Also is there a built in calendar with the Template that I should be using instead?

Great theme - I love it so far.. just have to figure it out
