Did you review the "header images" section of the Customize page to see if the image is there?

Also, your site looks great, but your logo image is too large. I recommend adjusting the size to a small resolution.

HI Chris! Thanks for all the information here. I understand that background video doesn't work on mobile and i can only use slide shows. However, when I upload my own image...it stays with your dummy pic. is it possible to have the slideshow autoplaying on mobile if i have a background video on desktop? ie will it do both or do I have to choose one or the other?

Just to clarify, this is not an issue regarding device detection. If you're seeing the picture before the video, that means the video is still being loaded. Be sure you have properly prepared your video file for use on the web.

It's recommended that you (1) keep the running time as short as possible - 15 seconds max - and (2) make sure the file size is as low as possible - without losing too much quality.

is it posible to switch mobile device automatic for mobile users and for computer users becouse mobile devices do not allow background videos, but how can we fix those bugs.
If users visit the website on their computer they always see the background picture first and not directly the background video is happend all about in one sec.
he doesn't adapts automatically to whether you are using a phone or computer.

Audio-wise I meant I uploaded some audio separately as an MP3 as demonstrated in the demo
but the bottom left sound on/off button did not appear and the audio did not play on the mobile either.

That's correct, mobile devices do not allow background videos. This is a device setting, not a browser/theme setting.

Also, keep in mind the background video feature does not have an audio option. This is because the video sits behind the page content and would not provide users an ability to pause/play the audio. This is the reason for the separate audio feature in the lower-left corner of the page.

So no background videos if viewing your site on a mobile or iPad...
Does that mean you have to set a slideshow
of stills on a static page to play just for the mobile /iPad version of your site
whilst having the video background on your home page only for viewing on the laptop?
Also is the background sound affected too? I could not hear any background sound on my home page
when I checked my site on my mobile phone.

This thread is referencing background videos. On mobile devices, there are no background videos.

If this is regarding a regular video, please post a new thread as this thread is only relating to background videos that display on the desktop version of the theme layout.

for this example (i.e. the user has to click "play" for anything to happen) I cannot press or touch the play button on my mobile phone. How can do this possible?

Mobile devices don't allow video to auto play as they require user activation (i.e. the user has to click "play" for anything to happen). As a result, the background video would not play when the page loads. Additionally, since there is no "play" button, there's no way for the user to activate the background video.

This is the reason the image is displayed instead of a non-playing, inaccessible video background for mobile devices.

Please note this is a device setting and not something the theme has control of.
