OptionTree 2 is no longer needed as a plugin but rather integrated with themes. If you are using a version of the themes that still require the plugin please update to the latest version, which you can download from your themeforest page.

I can't locate the .XML file either. I just want to change the logo in the Curator theme

I can not locate the .xml file in the WP church theme either. i re downloaded it in theme forest again today and still do not see it in the folder

Please provide details about the version of the theme you're using. With the latest versions of the themes using OptionTree, you no longer need the plugin installed/activated. OptionTree is now built-in. If you attempt to install/activate the OptionTree plugin, this will cause issues.

How about the theme gets updated so it functions properly? Just a suggestion.. I have downgraded my version of wp, downgraded my option tree, deleted and reinstalled the theme multiple times. Obviously from the length of this thread this is an issue all across the board. If i spent 50 bucks on a theme plus 8 hours trying to get it to function as described then there is a fundamental problem going on.. I've had easier time building rails apps from scratch then installing then getting this theme to function as described in the write up. I understand you guys have multiple themes out so its harder to keep up with an update but this is business for you guys. Thanks.

I'm using The Daily Press theme and noticed that the excerpts don't appear correctly when displaying search results, even though the same posts' excerpts appear correctly in the archives, and when viewed by category, and on the home page sliders. Is there a way I can correct this?

the lastest version of Nocturnal doesnt require the OptionTree plugin, if the plugin has been activated before the theme can add the options you need to reset your database

I downloaded Nocturnal in the hopes of customizing into a boutique booking agency site.

I watched the walkthrough and immediatly hit a snag because nothing was showing up under Theme Options.

I deleted, reinstalled.

no luck.

I updated Option Tree 2.whatever.

No luck with showing options.

i deleted and I used the link above to download the older version 1.8whatever of Option tree and still nothing, no luck.

I looked into the wpnoctunal folder and there are no XML files in the option-tree folder.

NOTICE: All themes running OptionTree have been updated to include OptionTree. What this means is that you no longer need to have the OptionTree plugin installed/activated.

There is an easy fix for the Option Tree Required notice issue: Change the code at the top of the theme's functions.php that runs the check for it and change it to:

hi chris - perhaps my post is subject to just waiting for the update as well but when option tree was updated all my pain body content was lost, header reverted to theme header default and nothing is there. revered to old version of option tree and although my settings are shoing in option tree "options" still nothing there in the body and same old default header.

I'VE tried everything - re-install the nocturnal them / tried to delete the option tree 2 version but it would not delete , so i deactivated and reactivated after re-installing the theme. I downloaded the older version of Option Tree and can not upload that either..it seem like a cool theme however ..IT LOOKS LIKE A COOL THEME , HOWEVER IT'S LOOKING GRIM BY THE MOMENT ..I'VE BEEN ON THIS SINCE 7PM LAST NIGHT .. ! Okay i am still having difficulties, i followed the video and can see the options under option tree settings. However i still see nothing under appearance / options...

Any ideas? Rolling back to 1.18 again :-(

@lettereye if you're upgrading, everything *should* work fine. However, to make a back up, do the following..

1. Temporarily rename the "option-tree" directory in your theme files (I use "option-trees" myself).
2. This will make the OptionTree settings page visible.
3. In the new OptionTree settings section, navigate to "export" and follow those steps.

is there a way to export all the settings i have from 1.x, then upgrade to 2.x, and then import? or will those settings carry over from 1.x once i set up the theme options in 2.x?

FYI, just tried to update Option Tree to 2.0.9 with the Nocturnal theme...same result as with 2.0.8, i lose all the theme options...however this time the site does not break....doesnt do any good without the option control, but just thought you should know....i am reverting to http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/option-tree.1.1.8.1.zip now...thanks for providing that link, very helpful..
