As I write this, the latest release of Mobile Safari seems to have a browser bug. It only shows up if you try to interact with an element that has a jQuery hover effect before you interact with anything else.

For example, if you click or interact with something first, the drop down will work just fine. If you try to interact with the drop down first, if that initial touch is a link it will load that link instead of open the drop down.

I'm considering a hack to address this browser bug, but hacks usually aren't the best approach to these types of issues, so I'm still looking into this to see if there is a better solution.
