I had the same issue. it´s easy to fix!
simply go to your edit post screen, youll find the "OPTIONS"-rollout on top of the screen. - check the "excerpt"to bring back the editor-box.

I get the message: Image can not be loaded. Make sure the path is correct and image exists.
