The last link you provided is for an admin page, so I can't review that link...

To display a play button, be sure that your latest post (or sticky post) has the proper YouTube video ID in the custom post options.

It looks like you have a video entered for the background video. Be sure to remove any links in the background video fields and let me know if that helps with your slideshow.

I have changed the value (unchecked/checked) the "slideshow on" button, added a blank text widget, a cleared my browser. My slideshow still doesn't work. My site is theirbnb.tv . Please advise.

Regarding the images, the visible portion of the image is based on the size of your screen/browser. My best suggestion is to make your images as close to 16:9 as possible as that is the dimension of most screen sizes.

3. I'm not sure what you mean by "windows". The footer area displays (1) optional logo, (2) credits text, (3) optional film rating, (4) copyright text and (5) social icon links.
