I would like the read more on my homepage (which it currently is) but NOT on my Creations in Color page. I would really like this to be pictures only and no details. Is there a way to do that? http://thebluespotlight.com Thanks so much!

Go to Theme Options > General > Custom CSS (Optional) and type this in:

.readMore {display: none;}

That should do it... keep in mind, this just hides your Read More links, but doesn't eliminate the detail pages. Users could potentially get to those pages from Google - even though that's helpful for your site ranking.

how can I achieve that to switch the exceprt on or off on diffrent pages?

For example do I want to show the excerpt on my blog page (bloggen), but not on my portfolio page (arbeiten):
