OK, I think that its the same although the wording is different, but I have another issue. I think that I'll need to create a php.ini file to allow the allow_url_open command but do have some security concerns. Could I use a CURL instead? If I can, are there some examples out there to take a look at. I just know enough php to be dangerous.

Hi there,

It's possible the wording has changed with an update. Give it a try and let us know if that works for you.

Thanks!

I'm having issues with the logo. When I follow the directions, I see the "insert into option tree, but not the "insert into post" Is that the same thing?

Hey, thanks for noticing! It took me a bit to figure it out...
Instead of inserting the logo on top of the header via Option Tree—which wasn't working,
I opened the "wppolitico.zip" and found the the file "header_bg.jpg" in the images folder. I used PhotoShop to add my logo into the original "header_bg.jpg" file and then recompressed the new folder to .zip. I had to deactivate the theme, delete it and then upload my new modified "wppolitico.zip"

This is kind of bizarre: I'm a total rookie at this stuff. But literally I woke up from a dream last night about how to do it. I ran to the computer this morning and it worked!

Whew!
Thanks, Kevin

Hey Kevin,

It looks like your logo is now working. What did you do to get it to show up? Glad it's resolved...

Thanks,

Justin, thanks for the reply.
1) Yes, the logo shows up in the Option Tree preview
2) I have clicked "Insert into Post."
3) I discovered the size on Chris Molitor's forum http://www.themolitor.com/forums/topic/what-is-the-size-of-the-header-logo-space#post-2105
4) Photoshop .png

I spoke with Network Solutions' tech support and they suggested it was a php/ini issue? but that was WAY over my head.

Any help is appreciated,
Thank you, Kevin

Hey Kevin,

Thanks for the kind words - we hope your opponent doesn't find it either :) Couple questions:

1) When you insert your logo, is it showing up in the preview in the backend?
2) Are you clicking "Insert into Post" when you upload the file?
3) 960 x 95 doesn't sound like the correct size - 269 x 95 is more appropriate
4) What file type is the logo you're uploading?

I think #3 is the real issue to be honest! Let me know if that works.

Thanks,
Justin

I set up my campaign blog through Network Solutions. I am just getting started and everything seems to works except the logo. I've watched your "load logo" video and carefully set my logo to less than 960 x 95 and saved as png. Is there something else I'm missing? Is there a work-around Option Tree?

http://www.kevinmastin.com/

Very nice looking template, by the way. I hope my opponent doesn't find it!
Thanks, Kevin
