Thank you so much for your support.

1) I totally forgot about that section in theme settings. To answer my own questions, ONLY the event category (and sub-categories of the event category) with show on the calendar. All other categories will work just like a blog.

2) All posts NOT in the event category will work just like normal Wordpress blog posts. If you want the blog in menu, you can now simply add that BLOG category to the menu in appearance, just like you were saying.

3) Ya, it would be nice if they still existed for SEO reasons. Ill check on this in the morning, long day. :)

Thanks again Justin

This site is really intended to use the Calender, rather than News. I am doing my best to instruct you on ways around the intended functionality. To answer your questions:

1) News posts will not show up on your calender because only the Category that you select in your Theme Options > "Events Category" will display on the calender. Anything else will not be an Event.

2) It should use the default Wordpress Publish system. The Event posts should function as intended for your events category only.

3) I don't believe the events will be removed automatically. Will double check on this...

A little confused though. I got the menu part no problem, I'm pretty good with wordpress but you did a really unique/great job with the event posts.

So, The events and news use the posts.

1. How do these "news" post not show up on the calendar?

2. The event posts are scheduled with a countdown. The news posts won't be that way because you use the current publish date instead of the future date?

3. Last but not least, Once an event is over, will it be taken off of the calendar but still exist to avoid 404 errors from search engines? Or do i have to delete the events to get them off the calendar once the date passes.

I LOVE THE THEME!!! Thank you so much. I will let you use my site as a show case. A lot of money is being put in to it. It will be taking over San Diego, Vegas and Miami.

Thanks again!

1) Yes - Create a Category called News. Then using your Menu Manager add the News category to the menu. Then, start assigning posts to that Category and they should appear on that page.

2) Yup, default Wordpress functionality allows you to set a Published Date.

Hope this helps!

One thing I need very badly is a news blog.

1. Can I continue to use this theme for my events but also have a news blog with posts?

2. If possible will the scheduling factor in? Id want my news posts to show the date it was created un like an event showing when the event will happen in the future.

I would be STOKED!!! If i could also have a blog. Thank you!
