Thank you for posting the video, that really is going above and beyond for customer support. Sadly, I did just what your video does. The server log file gives the following error.

[Wed Mar 09 02:48:41 2011] [error] [client 10.0.0.101] File does not exist: /var/www/sites/kolbygranville.com/html/undefined, referer: http://www.kolbygranville.com/

Does that provide any insight into what is going wrong?

The odd thing is, I can look on the server and know the file is there, and that it is where it is supposed to be. Again, thanks for the help!

I put together another video. Let me know if this helps...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYvVrrNKm_w

If this video still doesn't help...

This theme uses the PHP function "getimagesize()" to automatically generate the height and width of your logo. If you can't get your logo to display on the home page, this means that your server configuration is blocking external file access, which in consequence blocks this function from working correctly.

Solution:

allow_url_fopen should be ON in PHP configuration (php.ini). You may not have access to edit this file and it could also be that your hosting company has restricted changing the allow_url_fopen value. In this case, you should refer to them and ask them to set the value of allow_url_fopen to ON.

If you continue to have trouble...

You'll need to contact your hosting provider as this is not a theme issue and has to do with the way your hosting/server is configured (PHP is a server-side language). Let them know you're trying to use the "getimagesize()" PHP function.

More information about this function is available here: http://tinyurl.com/mste2v

Have spent the last three hours doing what I would have thought was a simple thing. Have tried a dozen ways to change the logo, and still can't get it to change. In fact, when I I did a Save As of your logo at http://wppolitico.themolitor.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/uploaded_logo.png and uploaded it to my media folder, it no longer worked. It only works as the reference. Tried uploading my logo to an off site server to see if I could reference out to it in a similiar way. Put it at http://www.thespacingeffect.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/HeaderHands2.png It's not able to pull this off server location either. What the heck?

I know this is a random thing that should be super easy, but I'm stumped. And yes, I am using the right link, the longer one with http, rather than the shorter one. Thoughts?

Let them know you're getting a "Catchable fatal error" message.

Make sure you're hosting configuration is properly setup for a WordPress installation too.

A lot of times, errors pop up because of permission restrictions or inadequate PHP versions.

Via Option Tree, when I upload a photo to the logo area, I hit Insert Post, save changes, then after 30 seconds or so, the error pops up. It's strange because the photo shows that it has been uploaded in Option Tree, but it's not on the website's home page nor at the bottom.

I'm happy to give you the login if you'd like.

Well, I have deactivated everything but Option Tree and it still won't upload. The only thing that I can think of that I changed from the time it did work, was the setting for the media on size as it says to do in the PDF.

I can try to change those back. In the meantime, do you have any other ideas?
