Hi there,

The "featured image" does not have anything to do with other 3rd party social sites. I'm not sure what system/method they use to grab images when links are being shared, but the good news is all 3rd party sites allow you to upload your own custom image when you're sharing a link.

Hey Chris,

I'm having the same problem, but my main index page is a gallery: http://bit.ly/1NJO29s

I tried setting the "featured image" for the gallery page itself, but when I share the main website URL, I still get an empty image after it's shared...

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi there,

When using this URL - themes.themolitor.com/vysual - FB is grabbing the background images. You don't have any images on the page for FB to use because you have a video background. If you try this URL you'll see the same result: themes.themolitor.com/vysual-video/

when you copy your (Chris) url and post it on facebook or twitter etc there is a display that appears with the text right?

Well when i copy my url and post it on facabook or twitter the message appear but no display (picture)..

if you still dont understand please copy my url http://www.creativemindz.co and place it on you social network forum (facebook etc) without hitting post and by that way we will alleviate all the misunderstanding ang hopefully you will be able to guide me relevantly.

Hi there,

Not sure if this will make a difference, but try changing your permalink settings to "Month and Name" on the Permalinks page (settings > permalinks).

Let me know if that has any impact.
