Definitely not impossible to change it, but the play box is only setup to play videos. Since this is a video-focused theme, it's not designed to display different content in that space.

Regarding other layouts, that really falls into the same category as above. The layout currently in place is what the theme is setup for. Changing the layout would require extensive research, edits and testing.

Please understand, changing the current setup is definitely more than just a few lines of code, so please don't think I'm being lazy :-)

I try to be as clear and transparent as possible by doing walk-through videos, theme details list, etc. I'm sorry if the options available to you were not clear, but these features go beyond the scope of my standard support services.
