Looks like it's working to me :) It was likely your browser cache.

I have edited the WP side and even the ftp index file..

Hi Justin,

i tried editing the index.php file from Wordpress's editor. That worked because when i downloaded the file through ftp the texts were altered.

Don't have any caching plugins installed. If you want i can DM you my login-data so you can take a look for yourself.

It appears you have the code correct, it's strange it wouldn't update on the front-end. I've edited it on my demo site and it worked like a charm. Few things:

1) Are you updating your Index.php file from the WP admin?
2) Have you tried updating it via FTP?
3) Do you have any "caching" plugins installed by any chance?

Let me know... like I said, it appears the code is fine, it's just strange that it wouldn't work on the front-end.

i edited 'The End' thanks for that tip.

As for the rest; i found the text 'Continue Reading' and edited it to 'Lees verder' which means the same in my own language. But, when i save the file the frontend doesnt change.

As for the post-info; same problem. File won't update the frontend. I pasted the entire code of my index.php below so you can take a look.

Hey Mark,

First, to edit "The End":

1) Open up your site files > Open the Scripts folder > Open the Custom file
2) Make a backup of the Custom File
3) Do a Find and Replace for "The End"
4) Once found, replace with "More to come..." in between <div class='post' id='theEnd'>The End</div>
5) Save the new file and upload it to your site.

Next, let's do the "Continue Reading":

1) Go to Appearance > Editor
2) Open the index.php file
3) Press ctrl "F" and search for "Continue Reading"
4) Once found, replace with the text you wish to use
5) Save the file

The post information below the title is in this file as well, but not as cut and dry. Edit cautiously.

I have not tested these in every instance, so if you do have a problem reupload the original files. Make sure you're backing up both edited files just in case. Let me know how it goes.

I would like to edit the texts "Continue Reading", "The End" and the postdetails beneath the post-title.

Where can i find these texts in the code? Can't seem to locate them.
