Hi there,

When images are uploaded from the post edit page, the ID for that post is added to the images meta data. The gallery system then looks for all images that have the same ID as the current post and displays them all in the gallery grid layout.

Images can only be detached/removed from the gallery when that file no longer exists in the media library (i.e. must be deleted).

Regarding the error message, I see you're linking to an image attachment page. How are users getting to that page? If you're getting there from an image link, be sure to use "image file" and NOT "attachment page" for the gallery settings.

Also I still have an error message when I clcl on a gallery image in a post.

Thanks for getting back to me.
Is is possible to do it another way?
I am I right in thinking from what you are saying that by inserting a gallery into a post, and then removing it, it remains with the post? Even though I can't see the gallery shortcode on the post?

Hi there,

The gallery automatically grabs ALL images that are attached/uploaded to the post. The duplicate images each have unique URLs, which indicates that they were uploaded/attached multiple times.

You'll need to delete the duplicate images from your media library in order to remove them from the gallery.

Each post is showing multiple images, despite there being only 1 featured image selected.
The posts display old featured images etc.
Can you fix, or please refund my money.
