It looks like you're referring to the text shadow, correct? To remove the text shadow, add the following to your custom CSS panel in the theme customizer...

#headerWrapper {text-shadow: none;}

Here are the two examples. Same page, just once I use the page as the "Page to Display" under the header tab in the customization panel it has a drop shadow under the text.

I'm not 100% sure I understand what you're referring to. Are you talking about the box shadow above the menu? If so, try adding this to your custom CSS panel in the theme customizer...

#navigationWrapper {box-shadow: none;}

If I misunderstood, please provide more detail or maybe a link to your site to help me understand.

Is there a way to take off the drop shadow on the “page to display”? I noticed when I build my page there is no shadow, but once I use it as the “page to display” under the Header tab in the Customize menu, the drop shadow shows up.
