What is the Category of the images that aren't in "Slider" but are still showing up?

There isn't a secondary category on the images for the slider. There is no sub-category of slider. Adding a new post to each what?

Make sure that your secondary category isn't a sub-category of your Slider category. Also, please try adding a new post to each and see if you can replicate the issue again.

yes. As of 10:12pm Eastern it is still pulling posts from other categories and has two copies of the winking boy. There are also still posts in there that just show up as black in the slider and they shouldn't be there at all.

I'm moving this out to it's own thread. I finally got the slider to work but now there are 2 copies of most of the images, one has a black bar across the bottom and the slider is pulling images from more post than the specified category.
There is only a featured image for each post no inline image. The specified category is "slider" but other posts that are recent are showing up as black since they don't have featured images. Why is it pulling most(not all) posts with featured images and recent posts? Why are there 2 copies of most images?
