Hi there,

I don't see any issues in the theme source code. Everything looks right to me, so I can only recommend re-uploading the theme or double-checking any edits you've made (including adding additional plugins).

Also, please make sure you review the compatibility list on the item page for this theme to see if you're using an unsupported browser.

Thanks!

Chris

Thanks for clarifying. This is outside my knowledge-set. I'll set this to Pending so that Chris can take a look. We're in the middle of creating the next Theme, so please be patient. As this doesn't seem detrimental to your site, I hope that's ok.

Thanks,
Justin

Hi

It's only visible in the page source code view i.e. when you right click on the home page to view the source code.

Because I can't see it in the header.php file I don't know how to remove the white space and link rel before the Doctype info.

Hope this makes more sense.

Cheers

Hi

Built a site using your template have come across a Doctype error when validating.

It seems that there is spacing and link text before the Doctype info in the header.php. The source code shows the following:

1<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://egho.co.uk/wp-content/themes/wpaid/scripts/prettyPhoto.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
2
3
4
5<!DOCTYPE html>
6<html dir="ltr" lang="en">
7<head>
8<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />

This is not visible on the header.php file - the <!doctype html> appears on line 1, so I'm unsure how to correct this error. Having read other forums on this issue, I believe it may be affecting how I.E. is displaying my site (mentioned in a previous forum question about compatibility view in i.e.) as it can't see the doctype. I have been editing files in the site but the source code above is from the original download header.php that I downloaded from Themeforest last autumn.

Do you know how I can resolve this error?
