I fixed it by changing my DNS address to 8.8.8.8 - why that worked, I have no idea.

I have another website using WP with a different theme and NEVER have a problem with that one. This is the message that CHROME gives on your THEME: "The site has not provided the browser with a certificate. This is normal for regular HTTP sites (look for the icon in the address bar), because certificates are usually provided only if the site uses SSL."

How about having the THEME give certificates? I think that could solve the problems that so many on here are having.

Hey there, these are hosting related issues that have nothing to do with the Theme itself. I would suggest another cheap hosting provider for your website. There are plenty out there that specialize in Wordpress hosting (WPEngine.com is my favorite).

Good luck,
Justin

The theme is working fine and then I can't access...10 tries later it works. Then it doesn't. I have another theme on the same server that works perfectly but the Politico theme is a constant problem. The host, Veloware, are stumped. Any ideas? Between this and the countdown timer failure, I'm so frustrated.

This webpage is not available
The server at indianwells2012.org can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
Check your Internet connection. Restart any router, modem, or other network devices you may be using.
Check your DNS settings. Contact your network administrator if you're not sure what this means.
Try disabling network prediction by following these steps: Go to the wrench menu > Settings > Under the Hood and deselect "Predict network actions to improve page load performance." If this does not resolve the issue, we recommend selecting this option again for improved performance.
Add Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall's or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to Applications > System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies and deselect any proxies that have been selected.
