Hi there,

Possibly, but you need to contact your hosting provider to confirm and resolve. This is not a theme-related issue. If your hosting provider or server does not allow you to edit WordPress settings, that is a hosting-related issue and not something that I can help change.

Best,

"Hi there,

I don't recall any issues with DreamHost. This issue only seems to appear on Windows servers. I haven't seen any users report this issue with a Unix server.

One other thing to try is this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-dates/

Let me know if that helps at all.

Hi there,

The theme doesn't have any server requirements as it only is in charge of displaying content provided by WordPress. The issue you have is not being able to change WordPress settings. The theme doesn't have anything to do with this.

Unfortunately this is not anything that I can provide support for, so you'll need to contact your hosting provider about this.

Best,

Hello Chris

I ask the server.

What are the server requirements?

I have seen that is a common problem that can not be dated prior to January 1, 1970.

It is about how to count the time in php.

thank you

Hi there,

Just to clarify, this is not a theme-based restriction or an issue caused by the theme. The theme only displays and organizes content created by WordPress. If you're unable to make changes to WordPress settings, that is something either caused by WordPress or by your hosting provider. In this particular case, it appears to be related to your hosting provider having certain restrictions/limitations with your ability to make edits in WordPress.

You'll need to contact your hosting provider about this as there is nothing theme-based that I can do to fix or resolve this for you as the theme doesn't have any control over your ability to configure settings in WordPress.

Hope that helps.

Best,

Chris

Hi there,

This definitely isn't a WordPress-related issue as I haven't had this problem on any WordPress installations. This is very likely a hosting/server restriction, so you'll need to contact them about this.

Best,

Hi there,

Those are pretty old posts (5 years old), but I did see a response that says:

"Before PHP 5.1.0, negative timestamps were not supported under any known version of Windows and some other systems as well. Therefore the range of valid years was limited to 1970 through 2038."

Sounds like maybe you're using an older version of PHP. You can confirm this with your hosting provider if you're not sure how to check. If that's the case, they might be able to upgrade your server.

Best,

Chris

That sounds like a server/hosting restriction. That's not anything that the theme or WordPress would have control of.

Thanks Chris.

With the default installation used, did not let me use dates before 1970.

I can change the date on the post, but not accepting it.

If I put 1850 automatically changes it to 1970.

Hi there,

Sorry, but that goes a bit beyond the level of support I'm able to provide here in the forums. The edits you implemented were provided by another user and not something that I wrote myself. If it was something I knew off the top of my head I would gladly help, but if it requires a bit of research, testing and custom code then I have to refer you to the customization request form: http://themolitor.com/custom

Hope you understand.

Thanks!

Hi Chris,

I made the changes in order to have dates prior to 1900
(http://www.themolitor.com/forums/topic/timeline-use-dates-in-the-far-past-eg-1550bce)

But now-in the index-every post has the decade.

I need only the first of each decade shows at the top.

For example (with data from my example):

-------------------------------------------------------------

1870's
En las carreras, ante las tribunas - 1872
Clase de baile - 1875
Baile en el Moulin de la Galette - 1876

1880's
Almuerzo de remeros - 1881

-------------------------------------------------------------

Can you help?

thank you
