@helloeddie,

its pulling the image size from the "medium" setting in WordPress, you can try to change the size in your media settings Settings -> Media look at the medium size

note you will need to regenerate the thumbs using some sort of plugin or simply by uploading new ones

also marking this for Molitor to take a look at

To be honest, it sounds like a sever config type issue - Is your test site on a different server than your live site?

Also, I'm just curious, if it's just an issue on a test site, is it really necessary to fix?

Thanks,
Justin

Hello again,

I uploaded another image today (using the same psd file, but with a taller height) and it didn't get distorted on my test site:

http://leahbisch.com/g-test/redundant-labels/

However, the images on the other blog entries are still distorted (both are 280px wide as well):

http://leahbisch.com/g-test/redundant-labels-test-2-static/
http://leahbisch.com/g-test/test-1/

Also, the images on these two pages are the EXACT same image, and yet it's distorted on my test site and fine on my live site:

http://leahbisch.com/g-test/test-1/
http://www.geyrhalterwinegroup.com/does-your-wine-tell-a-story/#!prettyPhoto

So strange...Is this a random bug/glitch, or is there something I can do to fix this?

Hi Justin,

Thanks for your reply. It is 280 px wide...if you drag it to your desktop and open it in photoshop, you'll see that while it is a long image (695px height), it is also 280px wide. I'm using the same psd template that I used to upload to the "live" site and yet, for some reason, on my test site, it's distorting the height of the image to make it look squatty. I already double-checked the Media settings and everything is fine there. Is there anything else I should look into on the theme settings to figure out why this might be happening?

Hey Leah,

Your example on the test site is using an image that appears to be extremely thin. If that's the case, it should be 280 px wide. Is that what you're seeing as well?

Thanks,
Justin

Hello,

For some reason, the images are showing up squished in the blog section of my "test" website:

http://leahbisch.com/g-test/redundant-labels-test-2-static/

I checked the media settings and everything is set up correctly so I don't know why this is happening.

On the other hand, it's working just fine on my "live" site:

http://www.geyrhalterwinegroup.com/does-your-wine-tell-a-story/#!prettyPhoto

Why is this suddenly happening? Please help! Thanks!
